soho in one utama.

i have always loved this place ever since it opened. I thought the deco was pretty cool, white chairs, high ceilings, black tables.

good food.

what is there not to like?

either way soho in is the old wing, just beside the escalator to one world hotel, the place is white, i dont think you can miss it.

i suggest if you ever go to soho, take the ones next to the window, or close to the windows, cause the place is a little chilly and constantly plays chinese music (sorry not a fan, but yeah) quite loudly.

right after you order, you're given these (it's not free, neither is the very nicely packed tissue). It basically has carrots, cucumbers and fried spring roll of some sort but only with garlic (if i'm not mistaken, but anywho, it's very addictive), you can ask for seconds if you are willing to pay.

we ordered la mian with beef (they say it's spicy, but i need to put chilli to make it spicy, but it still tastes damn god), make sure you ask for the chilli in oil (but with less oil).
the beef is really tender and you wont take a hard time to chew it.

next we order lo bak kou (radish cake), it didn't look to yummy though, it tasted really bad after i took a bite. Thankfully, the place has good service, they replaced our dish immediately.

next we ordered, shit i forgotte what this is called, either way there's fu jok in there, and it's wrapped around with cheong fun (ask them they should know, once i found out the name i'll edit this post.)

and for dessert

liu xa bau (custard buns) okay the one on the the left looks retarded, but it tastes good anyway so i dont really mind.

the thing is super hot and you have to becareful when you eat it, because once you have a bite of this thing

custard starts oozing out (just make sure you dont spill, it'd be a waste!)

yum.

korean food and indonesian food.

Gado-gado.

is a traditional Indonesian dish.

it's basically vegetable sald served with peanut sauce.

that's how it's suppose to look like. It looks pretty disgusting eh.
either way my mom decided to just try making it for fun, and trust me it looks better than that.

it looks damn nice actually.
basically all the vegetables are cooked in hot water.

kangkung.

long beans and cabbage.

carrots and beancurd.
prawn fritters (i love this, i think i ate all of it, okay lah i'm not that selfish.)

it's suppose to be peanut sauce, but it's really spicy sambal (but more watery)

and we add the peanuts.

mix all the vegetables and such and the sauce and peanuts. and there we go.

dinner - korean food
YAY. KIMCHI!

the place is called KoRyo Won Korean Restaurant. It is located at Wisma Antarabangsa, 2nd floor. The place is pretty quiet at night.
okay the place is pitch black, and you can hear the air conditioner, and the restaurant is the only place that is opened (at least i think it is, there might be another japanese restaurant downstairs but i didnt check)

the place is pretty empty, but most probably it's because it's a sunday night, but i'm sure this place is packed on the weekdays during lunch time.

they will serve you cold dishes, bean sprouts, kimchi, vegetbles, beancurd, stuff like that.
and when you get there please order the barbecue beef, because it's damnn good.
order this seafood pancake as well. Well there's very little seafood, but hell it tastes good
anyway.
Kimchi soup, basically they serve this thing is a hot pot, with cabbage, seafood (if you ordered seafood, i suggest you order the beef one), toufu. that's basically it.
it's damn spicy, but it's damn good.
the bill came and all this costs 190+ with tax. Well we had lots of seafood and the beef is expensive too. But i think it was worth it.
I NEEDED TO ADD SOMETHING HERE
SO IT'LL LOOK GOOD.

school and kura.

reached school at about 10, went straight to the library and started studying on history.

That only lasted half an hour, then i moved on the Physics.

the library was surprisingly full, but then again, the school year hasn't ended yet so if there arent form 5s, there'll the will be the lower secondary students.

see that guy in the background who is constantly looking at his book? That's Adrian Tan, well i call him Jun. He was studying history, when all of us are just talking, i was trying to do physics, well i finished one paper at least and half of one add math paper. The other guy in the background is Keng Guan, one of the main reasons why i dont like main stream is because of him. Every morning before class he would sing a certain song that keeps on playing on hitz.fm. Listening to the radio is sickening enough. But it's all good.

He's just one of the people that makes our lives more interesting that way.

That's Kevin, I only saw him doin add math though, but at least he's doing work.

Unlike my class.

yeah through out the entire time i was in school i was trying to avoid Mr. Yow. Because of my pants and shoes, but i love my shoes. Eventhough the soles of the shoe are coming out, i refuse to throw them away. They are by far the BEST pair of shoes I have ever owned. For 210 ringgit
from zara, it was sooo worth it.

that's Ryan, i cant believe anyone would dare touch Adrian's hairy leg. ACK.

It was lunch time and the rest of my class (who came to school anyway) went to A&W to eat lunch, but i left with my mom to go one utama.

-

lunch lunch lunch at one utama.

if we didn't know this place exist we would probably go to Soho, or eat at Vietnamese Kitchen.

Thanks to Matt, we dont need to go all the way to Hartamas to eat good Japanese food anymore.

Kura, located in one world hotel, on the first floor. Beside Soho in One utama (the old wing), there's an escalator which looks broken, but it's actually an automatic escalator, get up on the escalator, walk toward the big shiny door, turn left and you'll see the place.

Kura is in the same chain as Rakuzen in Hartamas (there's one in Subang as well). So alot of the items on the menu are the same, but Kura definitely has more varieties.

Kura is definitely a more comfy place than Rakuzen in Hartamas, less stuffy and alot more light
(good for photography yay!)

the service was definitely fast, i dont know whether it is the lack of customers (becaus it's still
new and no one knows about the place) or their chefs are really good.

we ordered the chicken katsuju (excuse me for the wrong spelling), what we normally would order at Rakuzen. I have to say that, Rakuzen's version is much better. The onions were hard when they are suppose to be soft, and it didnt get the flavour of the chicken, but the rice and mushrooms inside are really nice.

Assorted Tempura.

the scallops were the best. Better than Rakuzen in Hartamas AND the one in Subang. Oh my god i want another one right now.

please?

Spider roll which has soft shell crab, shit just looking the photos makes me hungry again.

time to raid the fridge.

the last time i'll ever get to eat

this.

okay lah maybe not, but in this place anyway. Every saturday, we'd have chemistry and physics tuition at BVR from 9 am to 1.30 pm, with a half hour break in between.
and during that half an hour break, we eat at Nasi Kandar Spring which is right next to our tuition place. Well we had to move our Saturday class to today because most of us have something going on on Saturday and can't make it.
either way, everytime when we have tuition at that place, we would order the usual
roti tissue which is a thinner version of roti canai. It's basically a thin layer of bread dough deep fried.

The guy in the background is my friend, Karl Shern.

ayam goreng (fried chicken)

teh tarik (tea which is pulled to give it a frothy texture)
limau ais (lime juice)
roti canai and maggi goreng
but today, Sue Ann and Li Shan went to buy blueberry cheese tarts from a nearby bakery. Sadly i didn't ask where they bought it, i regret that though.

Because they look sooo nice, well i'm really hungry and just exercised, this is how i feed my hunger.

That's Zetty and in the background Li shan.

This is Sue Ann (she's so going to kill me if she knows this photo is here)

the after effect and all that only cost 23 ringgit. (omg 3 pounds for all this food)

-
okay after tuition i had to eat lunch with my mom, i didnt eat though, i was still very full.

She ate this.

fish head bee hoon (fish head with vermicelli)

the soup was very nice though eventhough i dont fancy fish, it was sour and sweet and savoury at the same time.
My mom ordered the mixed version, fried fish, fish, fish ball, everything inside and that costs 10 ringgit.

and for the drinks, lime juice and soya cincau for 1.50 ringgit each.
the place is called ss20 fish head noodle, at damansara utama, but somewhere near TTDI.
opening hours :
mondays to saturdays : 10 am to 4 pm
public holidays and sundays : 10 am to 10.30 pm

that's all for today.
